Biography:

Born and raised in Moscow, KAT (Katya) has been deeply connected to music since childhood. With 7 years of formal music education, she honed her skills in piano and choir. Now based in Thailand, KAT began her DJ career five years ago, starting with intimate home parties in Moscow. Shortly after moving to Koh Phangan, she was invited to play at the legendary Guy's Bar, just six months into her career. Her rapid rise continued with performances at Eden and a set at the iconic Full Moon Party.
KAT’s sound is heavily influenced by the music of the 80s and 90s, from disco to electronic, and has evolved into her signature blend of indie dance, organic, melodic techno, progressive, and deep house.
Her versatility and dynamic personality have led her to success not only in the music scene but also in education, marketing, and management. Despite her diverse career, her passion for music has always been at the forefront, inspiring her transition into DJing. Her DJ sets are marked by a seamless fusion of deep emotional undertones with rhythmic progressions, taking her audience on a journey.
Friends and fans know her as Katiroyal, a playful nickname that combines her name with the Russian verb “to roll” or “to push” and the regal nature of the grand piano, hinting at the powerful, moving experiences she creates behind the decks.
KAT currently holds residencies at LINK Koh Samui and Elephant Beach Club. In addition to these regular spots, she frequently brings her eclectic sets to venues in Koh Phangan, Bangkok, and Phuket, further expanding her reach across Thailand’s vibrant music scene.
